Well I've been in Austin for close to 4 weeks now, liveing here even though I didn't post about the move, bet everyone thought I was still in El Paso, truth is I forgot about the blog agaian. the good news is I have a girlfriend also which I'm going to go see here in a few weeks be wise she lives down in rockport and I got a job not to long ago... which made me happy so I've got money once again yay for me... but that's about it, got a new phone also a logo Droid2.As for my firebird that's been put on hold for now the breaks went out on so I had to leave it in El Paso. sucks cause I miss driveing it... oh well. that's all for now from this ctcrazy cat.

Dollars, Something to lose your head over.

So, recived a link on Deviantart to this group called dollars I decided to join and while looking for a descripton to pass on to here one of the other members named Trillby summed it up best with the following words:

That's true. On a lot of sites, there seems to be some sort of "Theme" or "Topic" that interests people into joining. That might be debate, which interests debaters. That might be anime, which interests otakus or just the common anime fan. It might be roleplay. Even though, technically anyone can join those sites, those who aren't interested at all will pass them on. And trolls not particularly interested will target even the most innocent sites.

But, here, the theme is something far more broad and pure. It can be summed up in one word (DRRR fans will know what I'm talking about when I say this): CONNECTIONS. We want to be connected to people through the natural human instinct to form unity. In a way, this is probably why Twitter has become so popular. Its purpose is quite similar, though it is not made clear. But, here we spread information not through multiple tweets, but in one set of boards. We talk not with just a few characters, but through paragraphs and essays if we feel we want to. Fewer rules. And those here feel less isolated and pressured into posting something (which is an action required to enjoy Twitter). We can see each other for who we are, not as just viewers or tweeters.

Our purpose is the reason why we have not been trolled (yet, maybe). Our methods of attaining that purpose (through conversation in forum) is the reason why we can feel so unified and together by realizing that we are all people. We celebrate difference here, as seen in the threads about anime and favorite fruit - I haven't caught a single instance of anyone bashing anyone else for any reason at all despite the many differences. Instead, we focus on the similarities and, through this kind environment and the many things we find that we have in common with others, we realize something great:

The world is not cruel. No one is truly alone. And there is always someone, somewhere in the world who sees something the same way you do.

That is what Dollars is. And, so long as we keep our intentions as they are - strong and pure - that is what Dollars always will be.

Wintercon 2009

Well I had fun at the wintercon and even though we were up till midnight the night before putting everything together and me having problems with my computer that night every thing came together and moved seamlessly through the day my AMV panel was well attended along with all the others panel, along with Dead Fantasy and all the amv hell amv minis were enjoyed by all as you can see by this post from one of the people at 8-bit fix that i had the opportunity to meet

December 13th was a great day for me, not just because of the 8bitfix Christmas party that weekend but also because of Wintercon. Wintercon 09 was a small anime convention in Socorro Texas and I have to say for being a small convention and it being their first year as well as the location being a bit out of the way, it was good. The El Paso Collective (El Paso's Japanese Fashionistas, the El Paso Otaku Society, El Paso Sci-Fi, and the Anime Appreciation Society of El Paso) did a great job of keeping things safe as well as fun. Additional sponsors were Happi Robot, who had a booth, Nicecube, Funimation and Gamestop. From the scavenger hunt to the game room and the cosplayers wandering around (I enjoyed seeing the Klingons) there was a lot to see. Though I did get a fish slap from Mitsu early on in the day it was a lot of fun, and no fish were harmed in the slapping.

We arrived a little late, around 1:00, so we did miss some things like the AMV construction panel and some of the anime shown earlier, K-ON, Dennou Coil, Hana Kimi, and Nyan Koi. I also wish I had made it there in time for Anime Bingo. One of the most entertaining things I got to see was the Sumo Suit wrestling, Toxic couldn’t resist and jumped in line right away, he actually beat his opponent, though he didn’t get to teabag him like the two had agreed to before the match.

There was not a lot of room, so there was only one video room but the anime shown was great, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Air Gear, Mushishi, and Macross Zero to name a few. In the main room in between panels they also showed random AMVs such as AMV Hell, and also the Dead Fanatsy series, which I really enjoy watching but had only seen up to part two so seeing the other three was great. They also had anime trivia, but we spoiled it for ourselves and knew what the prizes were before the game started, we ran into the one who got the prizes at Nicecube so we saw what he got for the prizes. The artist alley was also great, alot of talent and great items to choose from from drawings to crafts.

I usually don’t enter tournaments, but Toxic had signed up for the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 tournament and he needed a partner, so as we breezed through our first round, only because we had no one to play against, we knew we would get beat in the second. We were, and I have to say that losing to an 8 or 9 year old never gets any easier, but I don’t really ever enter tournaments so this was new for me, it was still fun though. They also had a Halo 3 tournament and a Tekken Tag tournament.

What anime convention would be complete without cosplayers? None I say, and Wintercon had its share of them. The cosplay contest was short but entertaining and we got to see some really great cosplay. There were Klingons as well as Kingdom Hearts, FLCL, Full Metal Alchemist and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya just as a few example of what we saw. All of the cosplayers were great and didn’t mind the pictures.

The band was great, Nausicaa is a more heavy sounding rock group, but they got my attention right away. Seeing a band live is almost always better than hearing them over speakers and Nausicaa’s energy was great. They had shirts and also passed out demo CDs during the convention, which we listened to on the way home. You can check out Nausicaa’s MySpace page HERE. At the end of the convention they also had a dance for the last two hours, but the drive was long so we left before it really got started, if anyone was there for it let me know how it went.

All in All I have to say that Wintercon was better than I expected. It was a little out of the way and being on a Sunday it was different but worth the drive. The turnout was pretty good, not a huge crowd but a decent sized one for the size of the hall and for it being the first year. If there is a Wintercon 2010 I’m sure it will have an even better turnout and will do even better than this year. At times it seemed like things finished a little early and you would be waiting for the next event to start, but even during that time music was played or videos were shown, so it worked out. I know that I will be attending next year if they have it and I’m sure Toxic will as well. Did any of you make it this year, if you did let me know if you had a good time as well?

Plain and simple blog today a short while ago I stepped on board the staff for an Anime Conventon and well I would like to say on behalf of myself and I'm sure there are others that share my view:

To the other groups in the El Paso area the antics that you are trying to pull are not only childish but stupid and underhanded and I would just like to say one thing you have not and will not gain any ground and to put it in a few words just stop.

But I know that will fall on deaf ears.

In other news a few of the other groups in El Paso and El Paso Otaku Society decided to make an overgroup which is called the El Paso Collective, the groups that make up this overgroup are El Paso Sci-Fi, El Paso's Japanese Fashionistas, El Paso Otaku Society, and The Anime Appreciation Society of El Paso, and just to let everyone know El Paso Collective is running the WinterCon not any other groups

So your asking yourself where have I been?

Its call work I've been busy working my behind off the last month thats why there haven't been any updates to my blog and I'm sorry for not updating it but work has been fun and hard at the same time my dim bulb of a friend got himself fired from a job that I helped him get and a week later I was working at another place which I'm finaly out of training which makes me happy and I hit the floor tomorrow with out the training wheels

so where do I work?
I work at ACS Inc. in el paso on top of that I'm still going to school so... thats why I haven't been around as much but other than that I've been working with a local Anime club in the northeast and east side of el paso. so thats what I do on my weekends.

On to other things

I'm getting a 92 firebird so this blog will become more active as I post what I have done to the car but thats all for today

Secondly Just stumbled across this

An official announcement of the new anime series of Fullmetal Alchemist was made on the cover notes of the original manga volume 20. MOONPHASE's anonymous source says it'll be one-year series aired from April 2009. The script will be based on the manga.

So let me tell you I am entry psyched about this as it is every thing from what I've seen anyway that I was expecting and more, but enough of me talking

Finals are next week and then after I know how things went well its time for regestration well... i was going to do that this week but that has kinda fell through could get in to see my academic advisor so thats no problem hopefully after all there are two of my classes that it looks like i have to redo but other than that it looks like i will be moveing forward.

Well... (Deep Subject when you think about it) Hello,

Last week and School

So anyway... back to school after a week off because of thanksgiving which I did enjoy got up and road a float on a rainy Thursday (Space the final frontier...) that was decorated to be the star ship Enterprise mind you it did look a bit odd... after all the bottom looked like the 1701-d and the nacelles and the saucer looked like the 1701 (no bloody A, B, C, or D ~ Scotty to the computer TNG: Relics) but despite the bad weather that the day started out with it did turn nice during the parade, then from there it turned back to fail... as it opened up and poured once agian luckly however after we were done with the paraide and back home. Back to what I started with School... GLaD it's almost over with for the semester as well even though I was happy to get back into school I love the breaks just as much.

Scouts and Dr. Who

Last night I went to the scout meeting like I do every monday and turned around and left right after getting there because a couple of people showed up that I just do not get along with, so... I went to the local Doctor Who club (watched the first four episodes of Inferno with Jon Pertwee) which meets at the same time as scouts so I don't get to get over there that often but when I do I have alot of fun and Saturday I got the chance to watch the newer doctor (David Tenant) help the ood once agian on BBCA at 10pm MST kinda late but hey I had nothing going on on sunday so that works well for me so meh...

This was a Triumph!

Hello all,

Trying to get this started agian... lets see how well that works out

I'm gonna get this off the ground by saying that I'm eternally cursed with foot in mouth as I have managed to get involved with a fansubing group... that well leaves a little to be desired... but hey thats no problem after all it just goes to show that some people do indeed fail at English... but that aside I've been working full tilt on a couple of projects, the first being a fanfic crossover between vandread and star trek (you say its weird? well it is posible...) also working on a few amvs the first of which is completed and waiting to be uploaded to animemusicvideos.org its titled Bleach- The End useing the song Begining of the end by Spineshank, and the other one that is about 50% done is called Vandread- Last Ship Home set to Last Train Home by The Lostprofits(or Lost Profits depending on how you see it) any way my other projects that I have been working on are a bit well stalled... as for the other things i have been able to do in the past few months is go back to school although this was a bad semester for me as I was out of the swing of things but other than that I will be able to come back with a vengince next spring so hopefuly this will all work out, but anyway enough of that. Cycle of order

The Cycle of order is as follows "Order leads to chaos, chaos leads to anarchy, anarchy leads to order..." or it can be seen as "Order is less than Chaos, Chaos is less than Anarchy, Anarchy is less than Order..."

If you know me in real life you've probably heard me say this on many occasions but I've never explained it. Well I'll Explain it now first I'll provide definitions to each of those words you should know what they mean but hey I figure that will just draw this out longer. According to m-w.com Order, Chaos, and Anarchy mean.

Order:

Normally when I explain this I use a political example there can be others but thats just the easiest for me to use.

Suppose there is a government (could be a democracy, communist, monarchy, or the work place) now with in this country the government system is working every one is happy generaly every thing is in order every one obeys the laws of the land till one day the order gets disturbed by any thing from a nay sayer to a terrorist causes chaos disturbing the order that has been around for years now everything could go back to normal or the cause of the chaos could see the opportunity to start taking over eventually the chaos bringers the anarchists if you will start causeing more chaos until everything falls into disarray finally leading the country to complete anarchy because they didn't establish a form of government to replace it and then a group of anarchists establish their own form of government finally bringing every thing back in to order.
